PC Meeting 24 November 2020
The PC last night discussed the planning application for Webberton Cottage. Chairman More wasn't involved - well it's his next door neighbour and he was seen recently getting firewood from the cottage, so they're good friends.
Their only interest in this application was whether or not the additional structure is visible from in front of the cottage. It is clearly visibly from the downhill road (from the bridge). Nevertheless, they voted to support it regardless of how this mostly flat roof and aluminium patio doors and windows will fit with such an ancient cottage and the environment.
I see no pre-planning discussion took place with Teignbridge planners. I really wonder what they'll think of it. Doubtless, Dunchideock PC opinions won't help or inform.
The other item on the agenda was to form a "working party" to review the Clerk's terms of employment. This actually means to review the many cost increases he wants - see agenda item 24 of the 10 November 2020 meeting, i.e.:-
Frankly, look at the very recent increases here! The Working Party is Cook (because that's who chairman Moor wanted to run this Working Party), Ellis (because he's been on the council for a long time) and Griffin (because he's so new he doesn't have any experience "baggage" whatsoever so "is a nice new view").
Our precept went up by 141% for this year. What's it going to up by for 2021/22 I wonder!

- Review of existing hours of work and salary
- Payment of additional hours worked in respect of website accessibility requirements
- Increase in hours of working and Home Working Allowance from 1/4/21
- Payment of yet another incremental unit to SCP 11 of the NJC pay scales from 1/4/21 (which might anyway increase by 2%)
